Student Research Journals

The journals presented here offer examples of student research and reflective practice developed throughout my ceramics courses. More than sketchbooks or process notes, these journals document sustained observation, material experimentation, historical and contemporary research, technical investigation, design development, and critical reflection. They demonstrate how students connect making with reading, writing, and inquiry, revealing the evolution of ideas alongside the development of their ceramic work.

The journals included here are representative examples selected with students' permission.
