Held Ground, presented as part of the inaugural Clay in Performance program at the 2026 National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) conference, Volumes, in Detroit, is a participatory performance weaving voice, poetry, movement, and ceramic vessels into a collective act of listening and presence. Performed with guest collaborators, the work explored clay as both witness and carrier of memory, connecting body, sound, and shared space through ritual and collective resonance.
