BITE

Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University

Performance

April 2, 2026

BITE, presented at the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University in 2026, is a live performance and ongoing ritual-based work exploring memory, migration, and the body’s relationship to land. Created using clay gathered from the museum grounds during a research visit, the performance centers on the intimate act of biting ceramic plates as a gesture of presence, resistance, and embodied connection to place. One of the plates from the performance entered the museum’s collection.
